"A New Home" continues right after the Events of CrossCode and offers more of what you learned to love already: A story rich experience filled up with tons of enemies, bosses and puzzles.
I have zero complaints of the base game. I didn't buy the deluxe, because I didn't know I would enjoy the game. Loved the Zelda-esque vibes.
However, purchasing the DLC apart from the Deluxe was a fail. I see the DLC when I open the game, but Lea is still stuck in limbo. I even replayed chapter 10 (using skip option) and still get the sad ending.
Please save Lea!
(11/03): Need to talk to a guy in Rhombus Square after you install. He's sitting down with another person. It'll cue a cutscene.

MUST ACHIEVE SECRET ENDING TO ACCESS DLC...
My previous review was a mistake, the DLC will install, and it will work independently of the deluxe package. However, it's completely NOT understandable that the player must achieve the secret ending, which has no quest direction, and is too hidden.
I didn't at all know this and previously wrote mis-information. I know the game is great and worth the play, but two stars instead because of the secrecy behind unlocking the 'metaspace - pathway to the future' being required for the DLC to work, AND not having a direction for this, such as a quest.
I understand this idea would spoil the secret ending. They shouldn't have tied the purchasable content to such a secret, but it seeems they wanted the story to transition properly. Great game, add the "good ending" quest to unlock after achieving the bad ending, and vist versa. TOO HIDDEN!

these boss fights...these puzzles
The fine men and women who created this are not mortal. 11/10 ending, will hang the final group image above my bed so it's the first and last thing I see every day.

More than I bargained for
I purchased this just to further bask in the glow of Emilie's shoulder freckles, but 15 hours later I was full on ugly crying at the ending whilst cleaning up after the giant nosebleed the new dungeon gave me (growing a galaxy brain can take quite a toll, apparently). Radical Fish Games have ascended to another plane of existence with this DLC. If not for games like CrossCode and It Takes Two, I would swear off this industry forever.
