AO International Tennis

I read many reviews for AO and World Tour. Was bummed until I talked to another gamer who told me that I should give AO a try. I'm really liking the game! I'm not quite sure what others are complaining about with the mechanics. I did the tutorial and have been hitting winners exactly where I am aiming. I play tennis in real life and coach a boys varsity team, so maybe the gameplay just comes instinctual to me. But this plays like a good simulator of the sport. I know that recent patch updates have happened in June, so maybe those have helped. What I can tell you is this. I was looking for solid mechanics, good or better graphics, a fun career mode, and online multiplayer. AO meets those expectations. You get rewarded for good shots and punished for bad ones. They even have the Babolat raquet which I use in real life. It's not perfect - there will be future patches I'm sure. But if you're looking for a sound, fun, current gen tennis game, this one won't disappoint.

If you adjust the sensitivity of the ball placement so that it is not so touchy and turn off it's distracting locator it really makes the cotrols of this game realistic. The fan made players are amazing because some big name stars are missing due to already being licensed with Tennis World (which is an awful game btw). The graphics in AO are not bad and there are a ton of customization options within the game. Despite some of the negative reviews that I have read on here, which I believe are in part do to players not understanding the controls that well (btw timing is everything and once you master that you will love this game.) In my opinion this game far exceeds Top Spin and is the most enjoyable tennis game that I have played to date.

For tennis fans, this is the best game out now.

Tbh I dont really like tennis IRL or on TV but I love this game while dabbing exotic terps on the couch.
