Arcade Classics Anniversary Collection

Reading other reviews, seems the dreaded "menu bug" has been slain with an update. I played v1.0.4. No issues for me whatsoever. Game selection, you get what you get. Some of the titles are hit and miss, but the specific titles in the collection are all public information, so there should be no unwanted surprises. Emulation and options are fine. Pretty unnoffensive collection overall. My only real issue is that you are granted exactly one save slot per game to "save scum," easily allowing yourself to screw yourself royally. For $20, the value isn't quite yor money's worth. So wait for a sale, which happens frequently enough, then ya, anyone interested can have a good time.

Like the title says. The game selection is pretty limited too, if you don't like Konami shoot em ups, don't bother. These seem to be good versions of Gradius 1, 2, Salamander / Life Force and especially Twinbee (better than the NES port). Haunted Castle is an incredibly obscure version of Castlevania for arcades and for good reason, blatant quarter stealing kusoge. No extra lives. It might be fun for a laugh and posterity, but here it's a waste when the game selection is already so limited. However, the main price of admission here seems to be Thunder Cross. It's a great updated take on the Gradius formula and seems more accessible for new players. Overall, it's fine. Just the price Konami is normally charging is way too step for what's offered.

No negating the title of the game though take heed a new update that arrived on "6.18.19 (Patch Version: 1.0.0.4)" to fix what was broken w/ the game where you were unable to select different option settings throughout any of the different games menus due to its uncontrollable cycling through nonstop behavior has now been fixed for the greater good of the game! P.S. In hopes this resolves everyone's issues w/ the game in regards of not knowing of the new patch! #GAMEON🎮

Menus are glitched! May 22,I boot the game, wont reconize any button input at tittle screen. Seriously!

Works so long as game thinks you are player 1. It does not automatically assign player 1 to controller that initiates game. Try other controllers you nomally use till it works. The update helped, but the game needs to assign player 1 to whatever controller signs into game.
