Kemco Titles roll off every few months. Fans will buy them because we enjoy them. They're mainly throwbacks to our old 8-bit RPGs we grew up playing.
That said, this game is not that different. Biggest drawback I've seen thus far is the leveling setup. Leveling up, you can only go so far, then must 'pass a test' to move to the next tier. Exp points are retained if you haven't tiered up yet, so (I'm guessing) to be used as soon as you do.
One thing I wish Kemco would bring back is (I'm sorry, I don't remember which title did it) character perks were assigned like in a Tetris board. One could give a character the boosts/perks as long as they fit into the character's board. Shifting and turning the tiles, one could set each character as they liked. Fully customizable. Didn't force one to choose a ring or accessory giving a single perk, could give more if so wished.

I enjoy the fun grind of most KEMCO games and this one is no different. Review cats ftw.

Better than average for Kemco
A decent story (tho a bit depressing in spots), in Very Hard offers a low to average difficulty, which again is good for a Kemco title, and doesn't seem like the graphics are too dated as some others. Overall a decent turn-based RPG.
