Book of Adventum
Eleven Productions · Action & adventure
Book of Adventum combines the time-honored problem solving of FPS games (shooting people in the face and tackling not-so-difficult puzzles) with an adventure story.
Like a low budget metro exodus, i keep coming back for the superb atmosphere & music. P.S: Look down when going down as amity >:)

Great until u get stuck.
Great game until u get hopelessly stuck , No clues for Nexus Forest cabin locker and can't get back through Mountain Hollow so game over.

A little rough around the edges.
Some interesting story elements with an intriguing semi open world to explore. The steam punk aesthetic is nice but the graphics aren't that great. Even on Hard the combat isn't too difficult except for a few larger encounters.
I ran into at least one glitch that prevented me from progressing in one of the side-quests/achievements. Frame rate drops in a couple encounters.
For the price the game is decent enough for an indie title in this genre. I would recommend trying out the demo.

Hang in there!
UPDATE: This development team is outstanding. I voiced some concerns I had on their FB page, and they responded immediately and put those concerns to rest. If anyone is stuck, hit me up. This game is rad.
If you quit this game in the first hour, you'll tell your boys that this is the worst game you have ever played, which will be a shame because it's NOT. After hour three you'll swear to anyone who will listen that the game is a hidden gem. Make no mistake: this title is dripping with (charming) jank... but also world building, problem solving , progression, and exploration. Yes, the combat is CLUNKY, but you will get used to it, and it will prove serviceable. In fact, you'll find that struggling to fire what amounts to a flintlock blunderbuss in the general direction of a whirring, clanking, killer robot bearing down on you provides some added tension. Look, this joint has a lot going for it; I can't put it down. It's like HL2, ZORK, and Myst had a baby who grew up playing Bioshock!

Scary looking scenery in a funny way.
Anyone who likes to watch terrible b movie horror films to laugh will laugh at this game.
