    Breakneck City

Eastasiasoft Limited · Action & adventure · Fighting

Use your wits, reflexes and the mean streets around you to take down the city’s most ruthless gangs! When a vicious gang tries to burn down their favorite video shop, Sidney Flintlock and Justine Jacobs take to the streets to bust some heads. Breakneck City is an old-school 3D beat ‘em up with a focus on environmental interactions. Featuring low-poly graphics, pixel art textures and the ability to team up for 2-player local co-op play, Breakneck City brings late-90s style brawler action to a new generation. Punch, kick and dodge your way through 6 punishing levels including city streets, a dance club, skyscrapers and more! Take on gangs of varied enemy types and tough bosses. Pick up weapons to become even more effective in combat and use the environment to your advantage. Swing on lamp posts, kick your foes into garbage bins or out of windows and deal devastating dive-kicks from above. You'll have to use your surroundings to your advantage against these challenging foes!

    BARGAIN BIN QUALITY...EASY CHEEVOS

I can see what the DEVS were going for, retro beat'em up gameplay with 3-D ish polygon graphics like you would get from a first year sega saturn release...unfortunately this game falls short in many areas, the controls feel wonky and sluggish, gameplay kinda slow and boring, hit detection is horribly unbalanced, only six linear stages to play and literally nothing else, if ya just want the super easy cheevos for GS then have at it for a quick playthrough, if you really want a decent beat'em up that looks and plays similar to this one, but is actually fun and well put together then get LAST BEAT ENHANCED instead of this ****... BREAKNECK CITY is forgettable at best and absolutely no replay value

    Controls are trash

Wouldnt of ever been released on the ps1 or saturn. Trash controls. Pick up Fighting Force or Dynamite Cop on emulation instead. Straight 99 cent bargin bin pc game in the 90s .

    Avoid this

This was so glitchy and frustrating months ago after i cleared it I had quite the choice words to review it with but i messed up the submit and lost my speech the one part i remembered while browsing sales was i wish i could unbuy all eastasia games i have yet to try. Take that as you will so yeah unwish listing them. I remember things like walking against a wall of a building and falling off a cliff that was easy to repeat with how a staircase entrance was positioned losing a lot of health in a fight where every bit mattered or how the first stage had a cool gimic of attack never to be seen again where it could have eased the pressure in later stages. Or how despite the very simple design every single enemy looked the exact same unlike the game it was trying to mimic from decades ago. Don't get me started on that final boss either didn't matter how good you fought because the response window to his move was non existing.
