Not a very long game, it's pretty replayable though. There are 5 classes but the 3 melee classes are very similar. All classes have access to magic that damages random on-screen enemies. Magic drains health, but gives you i-frames so it's best for negating attacks that would do more damage than the vitality cost to cast. Melee classes can block attacks, but 'blocking' is more like 'parrying', you flick the stick in the opposite direction when an enemy's attack is about to make contact. It's impractical in fights with more than 1-2 enemies for most people I'd imagine. Even if you have the timing right, you'd be too swarmed to hit back.
Hence the title. Wiz. damage scales with range and casts out to 3ish character lengths as opposed to melee's 1. He can't block but strafing/using i-frames is more effective. Simple but fun.
Don't know if it's been said before but this definitely inspired castle crashers. Enemies are ripped from this game along with misc. things like boss attack patterns.
