CATAN - Console Edition: Cities & Knights

In this expansion there are bugs. 1. On the Nasty Variant, there is no way to apply knights to defend Catan when the screen popsup on multiplayer online 2. When the barbarians are raiding everyones town, in multiplayer online, the player who rolled the die's turn timer is depleting the whole time - leaving a fraction of the original turn timer due to other peoples lack of decision speed. Hard to Find... 1. Online Map can be random: goto configure screen, enable knights and settlers, then tab up to the base game option and switch map to variable. IT will default to beginners map if you don't do this. NEED... A chime to indicate your turn in multiplayer games.

When the barbarians attack on your turn you have to waste your turn timer watching everyone else lose their cities. By the time everything is settled you have less than 25 seconds to collect your resource/commodities and build. Not to mention if you run out of time you gain strikes and if you get to many youre kicked from the game. Online map is always the same tiles and numbers making the replayability lack luster. It plays like C&K at its core but its not fully smoothed out yet.

Dovetail support system needs a lot of work. They have no way to submit support tickets or bug reports. Not in the game or on their site(s). Have to rely on flooded forums or reviews and just hope they get seen. As such, bugs run rampant and rarely seem to get fixed, if ever. Just came across another that has effectively flipped the table. Master Merchant dev card takes 2 cards from another player. But if they only have 1 available theres no way to progress. And in their infinite wisdom, dovetail has employed "No Taksie-Backsies" so you cant even begrudgingly circumvent these game-breaking issues, let alone minor errors. Also, while AI takes their turns, they play cards and make choices so quickly, its kinda hard to follow. Kinda hard to trust that a game this buggy isnt ripping you off when you lose 5 resources in a single turn and couldnt tell what cards got played and the robber didnt seem to move. Give us some confirm and auto confirm options or something, jeeze.

Online 😥

The expansion that makes Catan much better and more strategic.
