Caveman Warriors

I love the Metal Slug meets Joe & Mac feel. It is a great game to play with friends.

There's a pretty steep learning curve and some trial and error progression but it's not impossible. The main complaint isn't really the difficulty anyway. It's the pace of it all and odd check point system. There's nothing fun about getting to the end stage boss and having to redo the whole level over just to get back to that point because apparently starting from the last checkpoint is too forgiving. I got it on sale but seeing the asking price is 15 bucks I just don't see the point in paying that much just for such a frustrating experience. There's a fine line between unfair and challenging but this is definitely the former at times. Level 3 is really where the game shows it's worst offerings. That being said and if you still feel like it then get ready to rage and waste alot of time doing the same parts over and over until you just ask yourself why you're still doing it. If you can work around the rough edges then there's still some fun to be had. Just expect a rough ride at times.

The knockbacks, the lack of recovery time when you hit & the fact all the characters share the same health bar can make playing this a little frustrating to play at times. Each characters has there own abilities & gameplay style making them all feel different, the controls are great but that throwback knockbacks when hit can lead to many deaths in playing this this so beware of this if you plan on buying this game. 3 stars

Tough but lots of fun for all the classic gamers out there. Looks good, plays well, and has a cool theme. Great with friends.

love it
