Chime Sharp

Just like Geometry Wars 3 lost all of its visual appeal and playability with switch to pastel colours, the same is true of this new chime game. It is really hard to tell what you have covered without keeping y pressed constantly. Also its really hard to know how much time you have left and you are just randomly taken to new level even if you only have 95 or 97% coverage. As someone who loved the first chime and was looking forward to this its all very disappointing 😢

This game is basically Chime minus everything great about Chime. Quite frustrating and very disappointing. I loved Chime but nothing about this game makes me want to play it again. Would give it two stars if not for themuted colors. 😆

No longer has multiplayer. Music is uninspired. Some levels use too close of colors combinations to distinguish between state of the blocks. Not as fun as original.

If you liked the first Chime, this is an obvious purchase. Great shape placement game where the music is "shaped" by how you arrange various pieces onto a grid while fighting the clock and trying to keep your multiplier. Clean UI and graphics. Music and sound are great, which is a must because the game mechanics are built around it. Easy to learn, hard to master. Solid, classy game, has several modes and unlocks, as well as leaderboards. Price is more than fair. 👍👍

I loved the first one and paid full price to pre order this one. 😠 So many things are frustrating about this release. Some colors are muted so you can't tell the difference between what you covered and what you need to cover. The shapes and boards were increased in size but now they can't be manipulated quickly enough. There's not enough time to complete levels and it gets increasingly frustrating as Chime does not explain how it awards the small amounts of time needed to continue the level. Other than a handful of achievements the rest are hard to get. The music, which was such a huge part of the last game, is almost a non entity. I'm incredibly let down and wish I hadn't purchased this game as a full price preorder. Wait for a sale and hopefully they'll release a much needed update by then.
