This game is fun. Yes, it is challenging. I just completed my first district and here are and my thoughts: The whole dark souls rouge-lite works better than I thought it would, you will die, you must adapt, and patience is the biggest mechanic. Simple grunts will chunk your health if you arent careful and elite enemies will really punish you. Despite the difficulty, you have X amount of lives and can refill flasks, and the weapon arts really help you shine. The loot is pretty diverse so far and Im already seeing the build potential. Now, the combat does take a few runs to get used to. The dodge and parry follow a more old school approach as you are queing the animation as opposed to instant execution, this has been challenging but personally I like it. The game hasnt lagged, crashed, or stuttered at all for me and for 20 buckaroos its a solid deal. I do think a few things could be tightened in terms of hit boxes and attack speed but overall Im having a blast and hope to see more.

Buyer Beware
It is playable, functional, and looks good but it needs more time. There is significant delay for many of the functions that ultimately will keep you alive. That being with the dodge, parry, block, and item usage during combat. Parries are already high risk high reward but with the delay its a death sentence while fighting. These are core elements for this type of game so thats where the buyer beware stems from. Dont want someone dropping $20 where that would have been a deal breaker if they knew sooner. It needs more time. They almost have it.

Needs work
Oh boy, this game needs work. It's got good bones but needs to cook a little more. I've turned motion blur off yet it's still there. The Dodge window timing is sluggish/delayed. Like i'll hit dodge and half a second later it'll start the animation. Can't switch lock on targets despite the tutorial level saying you can ... which sucks. Can't seem to drop things from my inventory to swap things out in the world. Thought that was weird. Look forward to seeing what this looks like after some updates.

Solid stuff
For 20 bucks this game is awsome. I've had a free couple of days and already have more hours then i'll admit. Solid story, I love souls like games bc i hate myself and I couls see this being something I hop on when I don't feel like hating my life quite as much haha. A seemless fusion between souls and rouge like that unexpecedly blends pretty smooth. I wouldn't listen to the haters on this one, great experience and really great price especially considering what stuff has come out in recent times that had far more issues and a price to match. Sure there are bugs, sure there are things that should be expanded on but id recommend a little grace on that for the great things this game has to offer which in my opinion outway all that. My one serious hope for this is that they add more levels and story, perhaps a dlc??? Probably a little too early with small issues an fleshing out to fix before then but let that be my testament that this game already awsome and I'd 100% recommend

For the love of God fix the camera
There is fun to be had when the camera isn't trying to kill you. The camera jumps around and glitches into the environment making it unplayable. You lock onto enemies and your range items miss. This definitely needed more testing and development time. Maybe a FOV slider could help with the camera. Definitely not worth the $20 I paid. Wait for a $5 or $10 sale
