CYGNI: All Guns Blazing

I recommend this game, in a sale. The game is fun, art/sound/music great but it is very short, the upgrade UI requires watching a separate video to understand and several elements feel like they need something more. The story needs more depth/lore to be called a narrative vs a reason to go pew pew. The progression needs another layer - separate currency, persistent rpg upgrades with growing power or roguelite elements. That said, an offline game with great style is worth supporting. Customizing your gun firing patterns and what % of shots home targets as well as the "pick 9" arcade system are great concepts. A handful of loading stutters (seems to be all platforms), a couple projectiles are hard to see using HDR but otherwise runs great even at 30fps on series s.

People posting 1 star reviews apparently didn't bother to check what kind of game they bought before buying? This is a top down shoot-em-up with pretty awesome gameplay mechanics, published by KONAMI, a LEGENDARY studio as far as shooters go, the graphics, sound and music are absolutely top notch, the action is non stop, and if you don't understand the gameplay mechanics PLAY THE TUTORIAL (it's on the far right of the level select screen)

CYGNI does have beautiful graphics, a great soundtrack, and a cool weapon designer system. Unfortunately the game has 7levels that are 10 minutes a piece and1 cinematic cutscene. Only recommend for a couch co op session

Some of the best grahics I've seen in a shump and hit detection is pretty spot on. Now the negatives, Upgrade system is useless. None of them add any variety. No real meta to speak of. This game's biggest offense is price. In its current state this game should be at most $14.99. I want to love this game but it looks like Skyforce is still the class of the genre.

Bought this on a whim. It looks and sounds great but is too difficult for me to enjoy. $30 is way too much for the amount of fun/not fun,based on my experience. Wait for a$10 sale
