DAKAR 18

I don't understand how the developers could think this was a fun and ready to be released product. There is no way testers played this game and thought "WOW, this is an awesome racing game that I'm really enjoying". Horrendous controls, graphics, and sound are just a few of the things that are apparent a minute into playing. Not even close to a simulation with some of the worst vehicle handling physics to date, especially with bikes and atvs. Its insane this game is priced at $60. $5 would be too much.

This game lacks the necessary tools for customization to make it playable. NO WHEEL SUPPORT! Parts of the graphics are off screen and are unable to be adjusted. I was willing to pay $60 for my only Dakar racing game option, but wish I hadn't. Also the day one version in the store didn't show any other reviews below 5 stars. Tricky.

The devs are calling this an "Dakar simulator". This isn't even close to simulating Dakar. Apparently the devs have never even watched a Dakar. If the did, they would know that the entire course isn't just sand and it sure as hell isn't as empty as this game. As a "Dakar Sim", they failed miserably.

This game comes nowhere near the hype the developers stirred up. Sudden unprompted car movements, unrealstic sand dune, and arcade level graphics make this one not worth the money at any price.

while the game has potential, it is barely passable for beta level quality. Dev. needs to go back and take a look, controls are odd. One minute the slightest touch and the vehicle takes off, the next its the exact opposite. 2WD vehicles are almost impossible to drive due to the clunky controls making it impossible to steer out of a slide. I've had many instances of slamming into ghost objects that smash my vehicle to bits, checkpoints not counting, and just had an instance through a speed control zone where it didnt give me control back on exit. Please fix soon.
