Deadliners

I love that you're able to play with 4 people locally but, I would enjoy it more if I could play with friends after they've left to their own houses.

Looking for another 4 player local game to add to your library? Deadliners is a great experience if you enjoy the type of game it is based on or inspired by, whichever way you look at it. The concept may have originated with Tron and it's Light Cycle video games and then re-birthed with Snake, certain mini-games in the original Fusion Frenzy and more recently, the direct Tron homage "Photo Bikes" in IDARB, but never has it felt so smooth and precise as in Deadliners. To me, that is the real selling point. The controls are fantastic. Want to make a turn back on yourself so quickly that you leave virtually no space between your lines? You can and the tiny lines you trail behind you are much better that traditionally thicker lines in other games. This is definitely a D-pad type of game and the input response is perfect. Other highlights are the level design and the addition of the "shoot" and "cut" abilities. Shoot places a block in front of you, while cut...cuts.
