Death Howl: Deluxe Edition

I love the setup, the dark forboding atmosphere, and brutal difficulty. Read your cards, and find synergy or the bosses will wreak you. But once you start stacking a good 15 card deck you will smash each area. I like that each area forces a deck change. But also its just a cool story of loss and grief.

Beautiful art style and 10/10 gameplay that forces you to make good use of all your cards. It does a great job introducing most of the mechanics and the ones it doesn't mention are pretty easy to figure out. The things you encounter outside of combat are mysterious and interesting to say the least.

Very addictive and very challenging until you get the hang of deck building and knowing enemies attacks. When I saw "soulslike" my initial thought was that it was going to not be good but I was pleasantly surprised. Music is great as well as the rest of the sound design. Art and card arts are cool especially the Gloom cards. I thought it was too short but that's probably because I have to find a new game now; 100% in 24h. Deck balancing could use work, Plains and Gloom deck are WAY better than Forest and Wind. The game almost forces you to stick to one type in each area except one and the Realmless cards are lackluster. Quests were an added challenge; most either put a special card in your deck or give you a boss fight. Very solid game. Ending made me cry a bit.

looks like id really enjoy playing but needs the option to control the game with the D pad cause im tired of buying microsoft's stick drift 9000's.. kinda my problem i get it but the option to just use the d pad would be great

This game is super neat. Gives similar vibes to inscryption and the story immediately had me hooked. Love the world and map design as well. definitely worth checking out
