Death Match Love Comedy!

The author/director, amphibian, is a visual novel genius, as Raging Loop established. At first I thought this was a goofy premise coming from such a talented master of the medium, but there is a lot more going on beneath the surface. It is fantastic and leans into the meta in a way that reminds me a bit of Chaos;Head while also being an entirely original experience. Honestly, once it picks up the pace it goes more into Ever17/Remember11 levels of complexity compared to something like DDLC (which this really isn't much like despite other reviews and the similar acronym). To me, DDLC was a bit one-dimensonal once you knew the gimmick. The characters here are far more nuanced and interesting, and the story pacing is slower but way more layered. If you liked the author's way of peeling back layers of the machinations behind the scenes in Raging Loop, this unorthodox Kafka-esque mystery disguised as a comedy is for you. Masterpiece VN. Don't let the beginning fool you on the depth here.

I played through all the endings and it was a great experience. Funniest game I've ever played. The lore is consistent and captivating. My only complaint is that it kinda holds your hand explaining ideas, though it's a bit necessary. If the intro is bugged out or laggy (like it was for me) you can always look at it again through the main menu, which looks a lot better. Do give that part the benefit of the doubt sine this has been ported from PC. If you like story games of any kind, you should LOVE this. So stop reading reviews and buy the damn game, please; it's life-changing, m'kay? (you can tell I like the game, right? And honestly, I'm way more into your actions and metroidvania games, so finding a gem like this was a huge surprise.) The music is banger too, I just forgot to mention.

If you like ddlc its good not the best in writing but got a few laughs outa me and the mc actually has some personality which is great over all a good game or read really

Nine bad endings in. I think this one is a miss. No voice acting, few group/hero illustrations, somewhat boring cast of students...just a lot of misses. Will update my review if needed but overall very mediocre and a regrettable preorder.
