    80's Classic Returns!

Defender of the Crown is my favorite game ever since I first played it on the Commodore 64. The retro part of the game is from the "better looking" Amiga version of the game. While the retro side is fun, it is not an exact copy of the original game, but if memory serves, the original difficultly may have been a factor in that. Classic is the original game with a upgrade to all visuals. Everything you can want from the original plus. Kingdom mode is a rougelite version of the game. It's a very enjoyable version of the game, especially if you enjoy a well made rougelite. I would put it at 4 of 5 stars, honestly since this is not the exact version everyone remembers, but since it remains my favorite OF ALL TIME! 5/5

Lets Go ta Merry Old England

Three Games for the price of one. The Cinemaware version is slightly easier on Xbox, there is no DOS version of this unlike the PC release from GOG, with that said the facelift and graphical impovements of The Classic Mode plus the added Campaign Mode with Dice and Cards added to give it an RPG element along with the Strategy the game was known for. The Original is faithful to the Cinemaware Amiga release right down to the Music. The Game In ANY mode is Hard, it did not hold your hand despite a brief tutorial, it expects you to discover some of the game mechanics yourself. A solid purchase for those who are patient with the win loss ratio, this game is not for casuals, some of it is tedious and repetitive like saving your lady from the Normans every three turns, just like the olde game the frustrations are part of the nostalgia.

A blast from my Commodore 64/128 and Amiga past!

I remember playing Cinemaware games during my youth. They did agreat job with different game modes. I hope they bring out more Cinemaware classics. S.D.I. Sinbad and 3 Stooges would be much welcome for the next generation.

    Fond memories

A blast from the past with some added updates. Worth it in my opinion.
