Deponia Collection

Literally got to ch3 and had to restart all the way back to ch2. I lost over an hour of progress because of a stupid bug that prevented me from moving or interacting with anything. I have never had a point and click bug out on me this badly. 3 stars only because it's easy to 100% achievements.

This is an odd puzzle / point and click game. The dialogue is hilarious and the main character is more of a dufus anti-hero. The puzzles lack logic to an extent, which mirrors the main character's persona. Its worth trying all options for the lols. Online guides might be needed, especially for the jogglegug achievement.

I am trying very hard to like the Deponia games, but they have glitches that make it so I can't. In this one there is an invisible object that you can lose from your inventory if you try to use it at the wrong time. You can reclaim it by going back to where you first got it, but after that it can leave your inventory permanently and it can't be reacquired. You're then hosed because you cannot complete the game without it.

The Deponia series is a flashback to the classic point and click adventure/story inventory based puzzle games like kings quest and monkey islland. The art is excellent, the characters and stories are amusing and the puzzles are as kooky and tricky as ever. Although it's not necessary, the games should be played in order since it is a continuing story. I give the whole series a 5 out of 5. 👍

Deponia is back for a second installment and along with it comes a lot of what made the first so good. Great art/animation, fully voiced dialogue, lots of goofy items and item uses, decent comedy in a series that has a nomination for worst main character. It has the same issues as other games in the genre where some solutions are so far out that most won't think of them. There is some weird glitching that happens in my 2.5 playthroughs. Character goes from dialogue to a totally different location. Item goes invisible and useless(umbrella for me.) The one player complaining{Maddoc} about the invisibility item was using it wrong though and complained about the intended use of it. It probably took me 10-12 hours to beat blind and another 6 for achievement cleanup but Im kind of slow with these games. This is still a great series that often goes on deep discount so if you liked the first you will like this one.
