Depth of Extinction

When I first started playing this game I was HOOKED-I'm talking all day, skip working out for the, just one more mission, mentality which then led to another hour or two of play time. Eventually however, the combat becomes a chore & I found myself doing everything I could to avoid it & just get thru to the ultimate objective. Don't get me wrong, I still really liked this game-it's very good! It needs...something else to keep it from growing stale but I don't know what that would be. Despite that I still recommend it but perhaps being more controlled in how long I played it might have helped. You know, always keep them wanting more. I totally got my money out of it. If you like tactics style games, I think you'll like this!

This is a great and adictive game like a revved up xcom 2 experience. I have been enjoying this game for a few days and absolutely love the sci fi premise. Picture water world with kostner and hopper and you control a faction going up against pirate factions and feral androids inhabiting the wreckage of buildings left from the old world. Highly addictive if you like xcom2 but with retro graphix lots of loot and base building.ive updated this to 5 stars

This game deserves so much more love!!!

Combat is pretty well done. Probably about on par with Xcom and far better than games like Banner Saga. The level up system is excellent as well. After awhile, though the fights just seem like the same thing over and over again. Once your characters are at max level fighting just feels like a chore. There really is very little to do outside of combat which was surprising based on the trailer. I certainly can appreciate that, unlike other games in this genre, you aren't arbitrarily punished for not guessing the correct choose your own adventure option. I would, however, like at least something meaningful other than fighting. You pretty much just get to choose whether or not to attempt to avoid fighting. There's a bit more to it than that but not much.

Nice budget turn based. Its 7.49 now. If u like turn based this ones worth a try:)
