DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition

Combat is very solid and pretty damn fun. Platforming is better than any other DMC to date, and there's a lot more of it. Not as hard as 3 or 4 but also less janky and frustrating. Visually this game is incredibly cool, dated graphics but a very eye-catching art style and loads of variety. Level design is straightforward but top notch and bosses are very fun, albeit a little on the easy side. The only thing they really screwed up was the characters. Even the cutscenes and writing are decent for the most part, there are more than a few genuinely funny and compelling moments in here, it's just that Dante and Vergil are unrecognizable both literally and figuratively. It makes it more enjoyable to just think of them as different characters entirely. Better than DMC2 and the last few missions of 4 by a lot, not quite as good as 3 or 5, solid 7 outta 10 game.

Very fun i personally liked the story a decent amount the new weapwere cool asf Underated game ngl

I'm done listening to haters. I passed this game for so long because of all the negative reviews. BIG MISTAKE! This game easily stands on it's own. Best way to play it is by not connecting it to any of the other titles in the series. Also keep in mind that it's not a prequel or sequel and is a completely unique experience on it's own. This game delivers a more realistic twist to the perspective of the DMC universe.

Die-hard fans of DMC may hate this game, but there are good reasons. While Capcom didn't need to put a Western touch on DmC to increase popularity and revenue it's still got good music, good combat, and an interesting story that, like the main character, matures as you progress. Were this not a DMC title, I believe it wouldn't have recieved such a backlash by fans of the series as it did and would have been more successful. I blame Capcom more than I blame Ninja Theory for that decision, they did what they were contracted to do by Capcom and that was to remake nearly the whole thing and were not allowed to take much from the previous titles.

So this game came out in 2015 and was already beautiful and im playing it right this second on an Xbox Series S and yes not Xbox Series X that's the dream anyway the game unless im mistaken is upscaled to 4k Hdr on my 4K TV anyway the only way in my opinion you can enjoy this is to realize this is and I didn't make this up Cacpcom officially I believe calls this Dante Alternate Universe Dante it is a separate entity from DMC 1-5 universe so absolutely two separate storylines one has nothing to do with the other and ladies and gentlemen I hope you'll give Alternate Universe Dante a chance thank you for your time
