Hp simulator. Bosses do 35-75% of hp. You cant upgrade it enough to be safe Map 4 has a new ally that walks right up to boss and dies. Boss hits him for 3700/4000hp. Without the double damage dlc every map is a nightmare of praying for crits to scare the boss away. Half the game is hitting defend and escaping the map for pacifist bonus. Hence the double move dlc. I wish the story was at least good. People built robots with emotions but this scared everyone and now robots are killed if they arent employed by a king.

If you love 90s JRPGS this one right here will stratch that itch. I think the characters developments gets deeper as you progress stages, you get deeper understanding of the characters and plot. Battle system is confusing but read the manual, its slightly confusing but once you get the hang of it, its pretty addictive. The story gets very dark overtime, it does get repetitive.
