Good freedom to build and plenty of towers. While it gets hard, its doable with mulitple runs. Most of the game is trial and error, allowing different approaches. That being said, i think apprentice is a little too rough and could put off newcomers to TD. Another thing, i think a peer-to-peer lobby system is in dire need. Playing with randoms is impossible without the session code. Lastly, a 4 man coop map pack as DLC would be nice. Old Starcraft TD was great with more people and the same could be true here.

Exactly what I've been looking for
A huge fan of the Defense Grid games, and this game is quite similar. You do have much more freedom of tower placements and the different elements are a nice touch.

No tutorial?
While I have played quite a few tower defense games, I'm clearly no expert. Most I can jump right into without needing much explaining. However, this game makes me feel like I needed to be an expert before playing. I get the basics, but there are so many other details that I just can't figure out or don't know how to use and to what end. There are a few reviews I've read that say the game is impossible at a certain point & the developer tells them -basically- to try different things & it is beatable. Well without a tutorial explaining details about how to play, I can see why some people feel this way. Great graphics though.

Controls Terrible
The controls are not intuative and there is no way to adjust them. Makes gameplay very difficult.

Spongey enemies.
I wasted $20 on this game. The game isn't a bad tower defense game, however, it is way too unbalanced. Even on the lowest setting the monsters turn on god mode above wave 70. You cannot win.
