Fear Effect Sedna

has the same characters but thats it, devs took out what made FE, the sexiness is boring, the edgy feel is gone, the Chinese mythology is sorely missed. this dev is remaking fear effect 1, god please no.

If you were to ignore the fact that this game is a sequel to the classic fear effect 1 & 2, then it is a competent game with average gameplay. It provides 2 methods of play... which is the only thing it really has going for it besides the $20 pricetag. However, this game is MEANT to be a sequel, and the gameplay is not reminiscent of the first 2 games. Classic Resident Evil esque gameplay was replaced with Diablo esque top-down view, and it does the game a disservice. Gameplay is repetitive, and offers nothing new throughout the < 5 hour story. Voice acting leaves more to be desired, characters sound very robotic. The only thing that this game did very well is the CG cutscenes, but those arent enough to save this game. Overall, I gave this game a chance and was thoroughly disappointed with the gameplay and quality. I hope the Fear Effect 1 remaster does not suffer the same issues as this game did

This game has some of the worst puzzles I've ever seen. The rest of the game is barely average.

To be honest I never played a Fear Effect Game, so I tried this one, but sadly it's not great but it's a little decent. I died too many times, because to me the stealth is too slow and the enemy's routine is too fast for stealth mode to be of any use. The solution to me to progress usually if given the option is to go gun-ho with luck. Now, about the puzzles it's very difficult to find any clues to solve it, so I relied on the internet especially Youtube videos. The thing I really like about this game is the Cel-Shaded look, it reminds of Archer (T.V. Series) and the video game XIII. (I really hope Fear Effect Reinvented will be better, and I hope it's not cancelled!!!)
