FINAL FANTASY XV POCKET EDITION HD

This game really gets the spirit of the original and streamlines it well. I love the art style so much, and can't praise it enough. It's a far better experience than most might want to chance, but it's definitely worth it.

Great game, except I loaded it up to finish the story, and the game constantly freezes, followed by a crash. Im playing on the Series X and the game is unplayable at the moment.

This is a great game. You'll have a blast playing through the first few chapters. I love the visual appearance of this game. I love that it includes the complete soundtrack and voices from FFXV. I love the combat, I will go so far as to say that the combat in this game is superior to the combat in FFXV. It's a very simple, and fun game. The problem with this game is that it follows FFXV precisely. And the problem with that game is that after the first several, enjoyable chapters of gameplay, the story peaks, and then immediately takes a nose dive. The narrative is confusing and incomplete. There are many interesting characters in this game whom we never get to see enough of. No one in the game has a clear motivation, and the protagonist is rather unlikeable. The ending is confusing and completely unsatisfying. It only served to remind me why I never played XV a second time.

Going to say I never played the original game but decided to buy this one due to it being on sale. With that said going into it without expecting much. The Games graphics remind me of a Nintendo DS or 3DS game, The whole story is there & from what I have read online (condensed & trimmed down), The game plays like a hack & slash RPG arcade game, There is not many side quests, the game is fully Voiced, & the maps/dungeons are linear/on rails a bit but the thing is they remind me of the traditional/classic final fantasy style maps & also the maps have areas & items you can miss, & then you can go back & replay chapters to get anything you may have missed. All in all it's actually a pretty good game & worth the money in my opinion. Just think of it as an arcade version of the actual game & if you play this one first it truthfully makes you want to play the original version.

Cute chibi style graphics. Nice and simple controls. Shorter storyline, for more relaxed gameplay, then the full version of ff15.
