Fragments of Him

Not in any way a typical game, this plays out more like story that progresses as you interact with the environment. It deals with life, love, childhood innocence, growing up, family and the very heavy, universal pain of loss. Honestly, I didnt know what to expect when I started playing it, started to second guess my purchase after the first chapter but once I understood what it was and got swept up in the story, then it really hit me. By the end I found myself wanting to immediately see my parents, spend more time with my grandmother, appreciate my girlfriend more and cherish my time with them all much more than I feel I have. I cannot name very many movies, let alone games that have ever had that kind of an impact on me. I am very thankful to have downloaded this on a whim and played it all the way through and I truely hope others do the same - It's well worth it!

I can understand that gay people might find this game offensive at first. However, if you play through the game you realize that is not their intention. I believe the main goal is to give you an idea of how hard it is to let go, and, not to take our time here for granted. It's a powerful and uplifting experience, however... the game feels like an audio book where you point and click to get to the next chapter. It feels like this should have been a short story or mini series. The game isn't bad...it's great. The voice acting and story are spot on. The artwork isn't much to brag about, and, the game gets a little dull... but, if you want to experience a great STORY for a change of pace (like I did) get Fragments Of Him.

This is a touching follow-along story. No explosions nor anything to kill, so don't bother unless you are OK with a game that is 100% story focused.

Fragments of Him is a well executed experience of love, loss, and grief. Will is tragically taken from those who loved him and the game explores their memories collectively to fill you in on his story. This game requires an open mind.

I like the simplicity of this game. it has a very good story. I like to play a chapter per night as if it's my own personal bedtime story.
