Galaxy Squad

Game bugged out and wouldn't let me edit out of the character customization options in the squad menu, so I used the "save and quit option", then when I loaded back in it reset me back to an earlier save and I lost at least 2 hours of progress. It's been out for like 3 years and it's still really this broken...? Was planning on finishing the game at least once despite how mediocre it is, but oh well, guess not...anyway, it's just a lazy XCOM clone with elements of FTL and Oregon Trail mixed in. Tech trees are extremely limited, only 3 classes, abilities are super overpowered, requires very little actual strategic thinking, recycles the same 3 or 4 missions over and over. Graphics are super low-effort. Even the controls suck. Just play/replay XCOM 2 or FTL instead, trust me.

Played through the story mode. Enjoyed it-took a bit to get used to the mechanics but had fun. Tried conquest mode after unlocking and ran into game breaking bugs in the weapon shops on the space stations. Example-the entire galaxy map would be sterilized after purchasing and equipping armor while still in the shop menu

Was let down early on. Expected more from todays game developers. Very weak game. Disappointed. Maye i'll try again later but for now,2 stars.

I've played Xcom since the original on PC. While this game isnt as complex as them, the ability to choose your own missions is fun. Unlocks and pathing choices brings replayability. Main issues are with systems not working right. Recruitment from space, quest turn in from space, and defense abilities all dont seem to work. I also had a merchant screenI got stuck on I couldnt leave making me lose all progress. Had to do with buying and selling. The MAIN playable gameplay is Xcom lite. Will go back to 4 stars if bugs are fixed

I like this game because its easy to pick up and play if yer familiar with xcom.It lets you have unlockables after a run,So next play through will be better.It has different story branches depending on yer decisions.I find it quite addictive.👍😁😎Rod out
