Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams - Director's Cut is a challenging fast-paced platformer with a twist.

Just as great as the original
Most people say that its a mario, sonic, rayman, etc. clone. But you have to know the full history to truly appreciate this gem. the original game came on 1987 as basically a C64 version of mario, because not everyone had NES at the time. unfortunately, Nintendo stupidly claimed copyright laws on the game and it was taken off shelves. But people made many hacks and bootlegs and amped up versions that kept the game alive. So, just a few months before the games creator passed away in 2008, funny enought, Nintendo made its own game of Giana sisters for the DS, which became it's own game. then came this game in 2012. it has great control, challenging difficulty rivaling to Donkey Kong Country, and some of the best music I've heard in any game. so, I'd highly recommended this game if you're looking for an instant classic platformer

Love it
To all the children saying this is a bad game and that its a ripoff of other titles, do your homework before reviewing. The Great Giana Sisters came out on the Commodore 64 in 1987, a game system most of you have never heard of before. So stop all the hating and complaining about your free game and either play it or don't.

Good, if you like platformers.
I'm not sure why there's a bunch of 1 star ratings. I'm enjoying the game. I will say, it feels like what it is. An 'old school' platformer that originally started it's series as an NES Super Mario Bros clone. You can still see some of the Mario inspiration here and there with jumping on enemies, collecting gems, and obvious brick blocks. But it does enough to be it's own thing. The character switching and abilities are fun, and from what I played so far, the level design is decent. The big thing, is if you don't like straight forward platformer games, I can't imagine you'll like this. If you're like me though, and grew up with 8-16bit platformers, you'll enjoy it.

Not too bad!!
I don't see why this was getting a lot bad reviews. Giana Sisters is a casual and relaxing platformer. There is no harm in dying since you'll just respawn instantly from last checkpoint and there are LOTS of checkpoints (even on hard). I do admit however that if you are a completionist this can get a little aggravating at times when you are trying to collect as many gems as well as play through the story. You don't have to be super patient though. Overall ok, nothing special but not a bad time killer at all.

Dont listen to ignorant reviews
This platformer is one of the best on xbox, almost as good as classic ones on nintendo. No bugs encountered so far
