Glass Masquerade 2
Digerati · Puzzle & trivia
Glass Masquerade 2: Illusions is a dreamlike collection of artistic jigsaw puzzles to piece together at your own relaxed pace. Dive into the rabbit hole of the abstract and the fantastical, putting together stained-glass fragments to solve dreams and riddles. Enjoy baroque depictions of 20th century imagination, in puzzles more intricate and complex than the original.
I played through the first time on normal. A year later I came back to play it on hard for the achievement. Oh my God. I loved it!
On normal mode, the pieces are set so you cant turn them. There is no image to help so it was good the pieces are set the direction they were to go in the scene. It was fun and challenging.
On hard mode, the pieces can turn. But now, the image from playing the first time around are there to see. Glad I did normal first.
Best of all was the music! It felt alittle mystical and dark (or creepy). It made me, however, extremely calm and more able to get into the scenes and gameplay. Troubles soothed away.
Thanks for an excellent game! Now time to get part 1. :D

4 stars for simple stress relief
The Good: Beautiful puzzles, soothing soundtrack.
The Bad: Poorly optimized controls make speed and precision difficult.
Worth playing if you like casual puzzle games but be prepared for some frustration getting pieces in the right spot or trying to select certain levels with the controller. Overall still worth the price though.

Better than the first
Better than the first with upgraded mechanics and a harder mode where you have to rotate the pieces. A tad eerie, but very relaxing and mindless when you want to play a game but nothing too complex.

Challenging puzzles, this time with feeling!
I really enjoyed the Hell out of "Glass Masquerade", the puzzles were challenging without being obnoxious and the soundtrack wasn't bad. I HAD to get the sequel, didn't even wait for a sale this time! It's everything I liked about the 1st, but now they've upped the challenge and they've added a weird story to the proceedings. Plus they've added new mechanics (like being able to turn pieces!), the UI is a bit snappier, and the music and art is even better! Each piece one completes is darker and more imaginative than the last, but there's still a cohesion amongst the work that makes one feel like they're contributing to an ever growing tapestry. I find it very interesting, however, why one would find rotating pieces as harder; makes the puzzles MUCH easier when you can compare edges faster. More tactile. Mebbe it's because I'm a champion jigsaw puzzler? I dunno. Anyway, this is everything one could want in a good puzzle sequel - more of what one likes, smart QOL fixes, better writing. 👍
