Excellent 16-bit graphic, coupled with fantastic gameplay & best music makes this title from Treasure a must-own..

A great run and gun from the Genesis
Gunstar Heroes has great style and gameplay. I first played it almost a decade ago and it has remained a top-tier Genesis game to me ever since.

Fantastic game but 2-player is messed up.
Fun and chaotic. Unique bosses and great level variety. Tons of enemies to blast at all times. Fighting in a boss-room boardgame, climbing to catch up to a flying airship and riding minecarts(?) along the walls and ceiling.
Bosses are great too. Multiple unique bosses every level. Of the 20+ bosses you fight, none are just recolored regular enemies with more health. One boss can change between 7 different forms in one fight.
There are 4 base weapons. You can equip 2 at a time but they can be used alone or COMBINED. Light saber, fire grenades and a seeking laser snake can be made, to name a few.
The multiplayer is a bit busted. In the original START would allow a dead player to rejoin but now it brings up an emulator menu. To rejoin, both people must die or the level must be finished. It's such a stupid mistake. It doesn't ruin the whole game, single player is exactly the same. Multiplayer is playable, but a bit more tedius now.
