Old school 2d space shooter. Bought for a $1.99. I love finding these hidden gems.

Any game with simple shooting mechanics, precion-based combat, loot-style powerups, a progression system, strong enemy variety, boss battles, and an endless mode is an absolute W in my book.

I actually played the sequel first, this one isn't as lengthy of a grind as the sequel, but they both have a certain retro charm reminiscent of games like GRADIUS/LIFE FORCE and R-TYPE with gameplay that offers enough fun and challenge to not be boring, although you will likely get all cheevos fairly easily, it has a pretty cool gimmick of swaping from side-scroll to vertical levels throughout play, offers a few different game modes for the high score chasers, this version has a very fun mode called "Invasion Mode" which plays like a Space Invaders/Galaga type game and it's a great way to grind for credits and high scores, the powerups and abilities you get through story mode carry over, each of the 15 levels in "Story Mode" tasks you with a main objective, usually destroy a certain number of enemies or rescue floating astronauts (p.s. Don't shoot the astronauts)... eventually unlocking the other game modes...honestly as far as shmups go, you could do a lot worse

Really good. Second is better as expected.

Always liked shmups, but they all lack basic QoL updates from modern gaming. Habroxia fixes that. Stand down.
