HELLFRONT: HONEYMOON

Fun but flawed, great gameplay mechanics but lacks online play that I overlooked prior to buying. Short but challenging campaign is really all there is, still worth checking out if you enjoy local/couch parties.

I like it a lot so far. I haven't finished it, but liked it enough to quit playing long enough to write a short review. The gameplay is fun, fast & furious! There is some RTS involved, but there's no learning curve at all. Just use your brain. The game mixes twinstick shooting, base defense, RTS & conquest type gameplay into a seemless gaming experience. Maps are small but well thoughtout. There are places on the maps where you can either build a base or a turret. It's up to you to decide which to build where. As you take over enemy bases & turrets, you can then build more bases & turrets. Same goes for the enemy. Last man standing wins! FUN!!!

It's just the same idea over & over. No tower upgrades & no weapon upgrades leaves you begging for this game to be more than it is. There's also no kind of roll or dodge & you can't really see enemy fire like you'd expect from any other twin stick shooter that is out there and successful. It runs well, has nice jams & is solid in it's presentation, but lacking everything that would make it great. Worth the 1.99 I paid for it on sale, but the regular price of 9.99 is a no go.

This is the perfect game to play with friends. With simplistic concepts and challenging levels you can spend many hours playing this game. 10/10 would recommend this strategic game!
