Kemco is absolutely known for RPGmaker SNES era JRPGs that are narrative heavy and relatively easy on combat, and their newer studio collab with Vanguard seems to be spot on to form. It is, like their previous titles, very much an on the rails story but its a good one. You take on the role of lunette, and are looking to take down the demon king who has conquered the kingdom. very much a mashup of the plot of Freren and a sprinkling of FF6. There are some darker undertones in conversations and its very nice to see kemco expanding from the usual 4 party members JRPG trope. I love that theres a female lead and swappable party members is a great bonus. While the sprite work of the overworld and dungeons could use polish, the character models and enemy art is the best i have ever seen for a Kemco game. Vanguards style reminds me very much of old dragon quests, and if you love a unique JRPG story then this is a great addition to your Kemco library. Side note: Very good soundtrack.
