How to Survive: Storm Warning Edition

I used to play this so much back in 2017 and 2018 anytime there was a sleepover going down we would play it. Now graphics might not look the best but its 2024 n the game was made 8 years ago so makes sense. from what i can remember theres a good amount of gameplay for such little Gb. I dont know who made this game but will look it up after this... They made my childhood fun and very memorable now that im 18, I look back on this game a lot. The game is a breath of fresh air for the survival genre, and is intensely fun! However, once I initially launch my story save game, it takes me back to the main menu after a few minutes. Afterwards, however, it doesn't happen again until I launch the game again. Other than that, it's a great co op and single player game that I'd recommend to anyone!

I love that it has a local multiplay. The survival tips are delivered in a highly entertaining way. While the graphics may not be as realistic or flashy as other modern games it more than makes up for that in the ingenuity of the game play the interesting enemies the fun story and the joy of getting to share it all with a friend who's right there on the couch next to you.

Edited 8-28-2021: Wow time flies, my original review was from 2017. Picked the game up again here 4 yrs later hoping this issue i talk about in my review is fixed. 4 years later and its not. OG Review I love this game. So why the 2 star? Well the game itself is fun...if you can deal with being booted to the main menu and losing progress constantly. I save often, but I can't save every 10 minutes before I get booted without warning to the main menu. Constantly doing the same thing to regain that lost progress only to get booted again. The frustration outweighs the fun. Putting this game aside until they fix it. I got this a few months ago when it was for Games with Gold so I can't complain about it being free. But I'd recommend passing on this game until this issue is patched because it IS infuriating. Will play again in April to see if it's patched. If it is I'll revise this warning along with the stars I gave it. If its not patched then this warning will remain along with the rating.

The game crashes a lot. When does, you lose all progress from the last manual save, not from check points. Sometimes the game randomly reboots, sometimes it locks up and dumps you back to home screen. Glitches include sound effects dropping out and quest triggers not tripping, both of which require reloading the game. Terrible.
