HYAKKI YAKO Survivors

If your a fan of survivors-like games and historical Japanese aesthetics, then this is exactly how you think it will be...pretty dope! Worth it for the soundtrack alone!

This was very enjoyable to 100% The achievements weren't to grindy and unlocks/upgrades felt steady which kept runs feeling fresh. It has the classic feel of Vampire Survivors with its own unique mechanics. I really enjoyed that each character has passive effects that synergizes with thier attacks. The difficultly levels provides a challenge that isn't to daunting to overcome, and if you get stuck you can easily grind the easier levels for unlocks\upgrades making this accessible for any skill level. Highly recommended

All "survivors" games have an option for auto aim, this one does not. Every skill in this game has to be manually aimed (the 1 exception being the aura based skill). A few manual aim skills is ok but when EVERY skill is manual aim it becomes not a "survivors" game (it even has a direction based attack/movement yet skills still must be manually aimed). Don't get me wrong it is a fun game but it is a top down shooter roguelite at best.

It has failed to save progress several times, causing the loss of hours worth of work the next time I turn the game on. Please fix.

Game is really fun, people could compare it to vampire survivor, I think it is better. It has a cool unique and weird art style that is like a Japanese water painting. Character to unlock, lots of challenges too. Don’t listen to negative reviews like no auto aim saying it isn’t a true survivors game. It takes actual skill, technique, precision, and not being lazy. If this is a concern don’t let it ruin a great experience. PRO TIP: Press ”A” to switch between team attacks and solo to succeed.
