I Hate This Place

It needs more polish and the VA is pretty bad, but other than that its fine. Update: After finishing the game, I can definitely say that it's not worth $30 bucks. The flare gun is stupidly OP, making enemy encounters a joke. There is no real threat when traveling at night, farming for resources is too easy when you start bass building, which enemies don't even try to attack. The map is so god awful and finding your next objective is so annoying that I've had to look up where the npc's are located. Sneaking around is pointless when you got all the flare gun ammo you need by just crafting with one ingredient. The story and VA are simply horrible, there is nothing that gives you a reason care about it when you got bad writers and awful VA performances. There's not even a final boss, and you don't even get to fight the Horn man. Side quests are whatever, they reward you with blueprints that will make the game easier. The game needs more optimization. Wait for a deep sale.

Controls are sluggish AF! Enemy grasp is well beyond their reach, meaning they can grab you from further than their physical appearance indicates. However the update fixed a glitchy save point early in the game, and it's not quite as frustrating as before. This game requires patience. It's not some twin-stick twitch shooter. You have to use strategy. Updated rating from 2 stars to 3.
