Infinity Strash: DRAGON QUEST The Adventure of Dai

Thought it would be similiar style to other Dragon Quest titles, but it is not. There is no free explore, since all fights are episodic missions. You relive the memories as battles or cutscenes and not as adventure.

I knew what to expect going in as I've done my research instead of just buying things sight unseen. It is similar in structure to other anime arena brawlers with bits of unique gameplay elements that theme it around the DQ games and show. I've got the show from the Xbox store but have yet to watch it lol, and while I wish the game had scenes from the anime it's still told well enough thru va'd stills. Its not a musou style like the DQ Warriors games that I wish would come to Xbox, and its not at all like the mainline games. However the simple loop is fun enough to keep me doing one more mission lol. Customization is done thru cards and upgrading skills with earned items. No exploration sadly. Story is pure Shonen fare suitable for children imho, I personally prefer adult raunchy stuff but its alright. Then again I've been a fan since the first Dragon Warrior lol. Gfx are simple but nice, I do miss the classic DQ tunes tho. Rec on sale if ur on the fence.

Buyer beware. Game is a small fragment of the show leaving out 85% of the story. One star because of were it ends at. Isn't worth full price wait for it to go on sale
