I typically avoid most Kemco RPGs because they seem quite cookie-cutter, but the Overlord inspired premise got me intrigued. I am so glad I took a chance here because I am genuinely having so much fun with this one. The translation has moments of rough spots but the personality of the characters still shines through. Combat, skills, crafting, and base mechanics are all well refined and enjoyable. The premise is very unique and the comedic vibes of playing as 'that inept recurring villain' just make it so enjoyable to see what happens next. Reminds me of OG Disgaea thematically, as well as it being a power-leveller's dream. SMT style rapid autobattles + maxed out encounter rate + demon shop stat-boost powders = pure OP joy, which is actually fitting for the narrative. Zero hesitation in giving this game five stars.

Solid followup to Isekai Rondo
Isekai Villain feels like the spiritual successor to Isekai Rondo. The graphics, assets and sounds are familiar, the systems are nearly identical aside from the welcome addition of a skill tree and village builder.
The only real complaint I have right now is that the translation is just off enough to appear auto generated, or it was done by a person unfamiliar with American English syntax. There are quite a few moments of "Yoda speak" early on. Overall a solid 3.5 star, owing only to the translation that breaks the flow of conversation. Important to note that the tutorials have no such issues.
The combat changes include a system that feels like a mashup of Chrono Cross and Octopath Traveler, where you need to match elements in a certain order to break enemies for big damage spikes. This adds another layer to combat and combos that feels very fun on higher difficulty encounters and boss fights.
Pick it up if you enjoyed Rondo.
