Knight's Retreat

First, this is NOT like chess, not at all, except how the pieces move. If it were like chess, I'd be stuck. If you are practiced at visioning a few moves ahead as chess requires & some puzzle games, that will make this easier. If you only have the skill for checkers, you should enjoy this and do well if for much of the game if you have patience. I only have skill for checkers but enjoy this a lot and currently sit a level 50 something. I've had to put in some time and a lot of thought in some levels, especially some after about level 40. The game slowly adds in new mechanics, like having linked pieces come into the mix (after about level 40 for this one). When a new mechanic is introduced, you are eased into it & it seems new mechanics are added in throughout the game & keeps things a bit fresh. For $3.99, it's easily worth it. The chess pieces are just a part of the movement mechanics, not indicative of game type (ie. not chess, just a puzzle game). *Controls are fine for me.

🐴 I truly like this relaxing chess knight puzzle game, but the controls are kinda stubborn it won't respond instantly, which is annoying 🐴 when that's patched up I'll give it 5 stars 🐴.

It may be easier for those who play chess, but being a strong chess player isn't required, only the basic knowledge of how the pieces move is needed. It is easy at first but the challenge will build to exceptionally hard towards the very last few levels. For the price and its uniqueness it is excellent. I highly recommend it if you like chess or puzzlers. There are over 70 individual puzzles, so you get your money's worth for less than 5 dollars.
