Krut: The Mythic Wings

The games graphics and rotating level design are stunning. Theres a good variety of moves and attacks. However...the combat in this game is about timing and quick responses. And unfortunately, there is terrible input lag during combat. There have been many times I tried to dodge enemy attacks or complete a combo, and my character would just stand there and do nothing. Please fix this and youll have a much more enjoyable game.

The plot seems cool. The execution of the game not so much. Even on easy it was a slog. The power the Krut had even for bugs seemed nerfed. Glad i bought on sale. Could be great with some tweeks. Also fell into pits cause i couldnt jump while locked into attack animations.

Krut: Isn't so much bad but, its a licensed IP releasedd with little to no effort making it stand out! It's a sort-of updated take on Altered Beast/Kid Icarus! The gameplay is so/so the regular enemies are over powered! You gotta spend 1000 coins to unlock a check-point the upgrades are super expensive... Even on Easy it's not technically easy (it mimics arcade cabinets being hard just to take every coin you have on you) the controls are hit & miss, There's very little flying! Graphically it's very pretty One thing Krut: The Mythic Wings does flawlessly is the infamous bait & swich during the NES/Mega System boom it sells smoke & mirrors... Theres a reason its so cheap! Its a fast food video game 😉😒😉😜😉

As a Krut general, the feathered race with wings, you witness the evil return of a Rock Ogre King. Failing to defend the mainland, you recuperate on an island and are bestowed the last pair of mythic wings to defeat the giant rock ogre. Only it's not so simple as five elemental powers are needed from the island's inhabitants to fully power up the wings. Levels consist of side scrolling from left to right with some platforming and each has their own set of enemies, mid level mini boss and bosses to battle. Learning attack patterns and dodging is key to victory or you'll go through your extra lives fast. Losing them all will have you restarting the current level. Regular foes can be skipped but it's worth it to fight them to gain xp for upgrades like health and damage but also to unlock the checkpoints themselves which is an odd design choice. The combat is iffy and I only used basic attacks since I found the combos to be unnecessary. Krut is a short, mediocre but challenging experience.

Graphics are the only decent thing about this game. Enemies are too tough - they hit hard and take a lot of damage. Even a small flying bug can easily end you. The story takes about ten minutes to read as it's about 50 screens to click through. :/
