Layers of Fear: Inheritance

This is for all that read these things. This is nothing more than and extened ending to the original. Nothing more, but it does not have to be more. Kind of like a director`s cut of a movie. It is merely an extention of the game from a different point of view. It may not be as long nor as good as its predasessor, but it gives the story more of a define and solid feel to it. Enjoy it for what it is. And if the family has not seen the original, take them through the journey. Make it a movie night. Add this to that night. That is how you will get the most enjoyment out of this.

What an awesome way to get more of this family's story. Exploring and recalling memories from the daughter's pov was an interesting experience! My only complaint... it's too short. I wanted to keep going and going! It does have more than one ending though. I love this developer and hope to see more from them. Worth getting if you enjoyed the main game and want a different perspective related to the story. There are achievements and the price for this DLC is fantastic for what you get. New music is really creeptacular too! Overall, I really loved playing this addon. :-)

I wish it was longer, but I definitely got my $5 worth. I was blown away by the endings, and I felt that it was done about as well as it could've been in terms of story. I would've paid the $22.99 that the Masterpiece Edition costs, even if it meant only getting the DLC. That's only because I'm obsessed with this game, however. In terms of length, I fully explored and took everything in at just under an hour and a half. While short, this DLC is amazing. A must-buy if you liked the base game. Keep in mind, that hour and a half was just one playthrough. To see everything you can possibly see in this DLC, you need to play it a minimum of three times. I played it seven times in one sitting just because I loved it so much! To me, the base game with the DLC is a $60 experience. I just...I love it!

Love this game. Great story with unsettling events all around you.

This DLC is 10 MB which leads me to believe it was in the main game all along but cut because the publisher, or whoever, wanted a DLC to sell. Inheritance is very short (thank God), much more tedious, and lacking the creepy (interesting) atmosphere LoF has. Write down all the drunk-, crazed-, abusive-father clichés you can think of and thank me. I just saved you $5 💰💰💰💰💰 LoF is worth your money. Inheritance is not.
