Let Them Come

Sucks that there is an achievement that is no longer obtainable. A lot of fun though! Hope there will be a Let Them Come Again! ...then a 3rd; Let Them Come Back! ...then a 4th; Let Them Come Back 4 More!

The good: You can sit there, point the gun a little up or a little down, toss grenades/use your alternate bullet type, smack enemies that are coming at you from above. I've had some stress but this can be overcome by learning the patterns and the weapons you may need to pass specific bosses, that is why I have "(mostly)" as usually you don't need to think too much. The medium: I can't replay old waves or sections of the game. There is a challenge mode and boss mode, but I can't go to an older section to read the little notes. I believe there is a NewGamePlus though. The bad: The game has a couple of bugs (a couple achievements I should have haven't unlocked, no crashes for me though). CONSOLE TAX: this is currently $3 more than the PC version :(

Pretty fun and quick arcade shooter. The aiming felt off at first but I adjusted. Game isn't hard. If you keep dying...that's the point. It's a video game. It's supposed to be challenging. That said...fighting enemy waves was a breeze. Toss explosives when mobbed on, obviously. The difficulty was in some of the boss fights. But not super hard. Anyway, game is Doom and Dead Space in 2D form. I wish there were more space horror games out there.

Don't pay more! Really difficult too soon.

Turret defense game but with an expansive inventory/upgrade system that expands your capability to defend as enemies grow stronger, more varied. Bosses end each set of waves, and each set has its' own background. Combo mechanic rewards doing well by giving a timed perk like a drone, 2x damage, or health and extends how far you would usually go. It allows a margin of error and with gradual upgrades you can endure the game's challenge. Overall, a fun game with suprising amounts of gear and tactics you can try, as well as a blend of ideas that in the days of flash games would of been a classic.
