It's a short but good game. I got it on sale for $3 and change and it's worth it. My only problem is when I try to talk to the "hidden thug" in the lower area for the second time it gltches my game. I've re-installed the game and it's still the same issue.

Decent but short. An OK start.
Plays smoothly but it feels more like a demo rather than an episode. The girls story (which has only minor differences) should have been scrapped in favor of making episode one longer overall. Lack of orbs, gear, and battles, doesn't help either. Game features only 1 ok battle the rest you can just hold A and win basically. The game is aesthetically pleasing however, with great anime artwork. Music is also good. Dialogue is a little heavy on anime cliches but ok otherwise. Hopefully we get episode 2 soon and hopefully it's at least 10 times longer than this episode. If you run through this it could be beaten in well under 2 hours. If you try for all achievements probably under 5. Overall though, and for the price, I would recommend this to any JRPG fan. I look forward to longer and better future episodes.

I really liked it. Its very short, full of heart.
There are too many 100+ hour games these days. Yes, it was only a couple hours, but its 10 bucks, i paid like 2 on sale. Not perfect, but i give it a 5 for heart, atmosphere, great music, and price. Its a feelgood game, feels like something I would have played on the 64 or Ps1. Cant wait to play episode 2.

Ok, but could be the next best rpg since wildarms 3
Blue Dragon and ff7..with a little wildarms.??..waayyy too short for paid content...even for an episodic release...but this has rpg of the year potential.... if they flesh out the eqipment and orb build mechanics...and wratchet up the battles overall. The art design is not original, but its not trying to be...its solid and well done, and extremely nostalgic for you 30 somethin gamers. I would play full game as is, for like 40 bucks, as long as i got like 50hrs out of it? Needs to be more meat if they want top dollar
