Luckslinger

Love this...hooked

This in my top 5 of the most fun and well written quick indie games! I haven't experienced any glitches, bugs, forced exits, etc. All achievements have unlocked as expected. A+, devs!

Simple but has challenge. Extremely fun and funny. The luck factor is a cool idea. Take my money make number 2 and take my money again.

Luckslinger is neither great nor bad. It will likely appeal to the target audience of indi-sidescroller-atari fans better than the general modern gamer, which is fine. I'm rating Luckslinger lower however as, while maybe I missed something, the upgrade to gold cost is too high. I took down 2 bosses and was only at 80 gold, and trust me you'll want that extra health. There's 2 modes of play: -Old school: If you die you restart the level (great for masochists) -New school: If you die, revert to checkpoint (modern preference) The gameplay is simple. Left-Right, Jump-Duck, roll-dodging, and a manually reloading 6-chamber revolver...throwing knife for "extra dmg". It's exactly what the screenshots show. I'll take the other reviewer's word that the story is charming or funny. I didn't see anything that would elicit a smile or chuckle beyond a boozed up sheriff and some blank expressions, but the dialogue wasn't horrible. Also, fair bit of pixelated diversity if you care for it.

Luckslinger is a fun over the top action title (The graphics may turn various people off though) It's very early home gaming console looking! But, its silly fun! Easy to play having to re-load is a double edged sword though.......
