Minecraft Dungeons II Deluxe Edition
Xbox Game Studios · Action & adventure
Upgrade to the Minecraft Dungeons II: Deluxe Edition for more battles, more customization, and more cuteness. Unlocks 4 additional hero skins, the Soul cape, the Blub pet, and DLC 1 & 2.*
Couch co-op is a massive downgrade from the original. Additional players are forced into “Guest Heroes” tied to the host instead of having their own persistent characters. My kids should be able to level their heroes while playing with me, then use those same heroes when playing alone. Instead, their characters are essentially trapped as my Player 2/3 guests. The original Dungeons handled this perfectly. Please let every local player have a persistent hero they can use together or independently

Alright, but not nearly as good as the first.
It's missing that dynamic difference between different points unlike the last one, because all of the areas are extremely similar, it starts just feeling repetitive.
I like how it's Open-World, however unlike the first, you can't replay different parts of the story without creating a new character from scratch and having to replay everything again.
Another major downside is your offline characters can't be used in online games, and vise versa
Lastly, there's not a lot of story development, in the first game there was a few areas where different plans were happening before ultimately taking down the Arch-Illager, meanwhile in this game there's hardly any.
After awhile it just feells like your just running around the map without an actual reason.
Don't get me wrong, Minecraft Dungeons 2 is fun, but it definitely feels like they could've done better

Went backwards
Feels like this should had been the 1st game in the series. I played both at launch and this feels like a 360 game compared to a Xbox one game. If you have gamepass just play it, it's fun for a few hours.

Actually garbage
The constant leveling up of enemies alongside you even in starter zones is a terrible design choice. Weapons and armor feel like fighting with cardboard. The game forces you to just be a hack and slash with no real choice to make different builds. Me and my friend made it to the mega warden boss which we could only get to half health on our best run. Tons of glitches; map markers being in the wrong spot, immortal enemies, and enderman spawns in boss arenas, etc. I tried to like this game, but i just cant. I feel like the progression is just kill enemies and replace your loot, cant really enchant weapons cause youll be replacing them 3 mins later. It's so unbelievably garbage.

More like Minecraft Dungeons 0.2
It looks like a pastel, washed-out reskin of the first, only gameplay difference is the level size really, and dont get me started on the dialogue boxes and story. "Oh new bad guy, go kill. That'll be $30". The only reason it has a 4.1 average as I say this is that microsoft owns both Mojang and Xbox.
