Monkey Island: SE

Great family friendly fun. a game to share and enjoy w an audience or solo. the puzzles and gameplay range in difficulty but the story makes the game. GUYBRUSH FOR PRESIDENT

The gaming world is constantly evolving, and so do gamers taste. Nostalgia often blinds us to older games faults. This is not the case here. I never played the game until it came to the 360, and loving it. The atmosphere, writing, characters, settings, art design all of it fits perfectly together. The controls work like they should, but still feel awkward with a controller for these type of games. Keep in mind this is an adventure game game, so do not expect to be swashbuckling Assassins Creed style. You will find yourself reading text, hunting for items, and exploring the personalties of these characters, not going from stage to stage killing things because "reasons" dictate you do so. This game is a rebirthed from an era that is lost, like the golden age of horror movies. Sure todays games are more realitic, and gorier then before, but this game not unlike the 1930's horror movies prove that you do not need that to be successful. I recommend you play it and judge it for yourself

this (and the sequal) were some favorites back in the old PC days of yor... Now redone and even better on the Xbox console. But it still has the same feel and flavor of the classic original. Great fun for all ages.

It's AMAZING how well they not only remastered but made the transitioning between flipping into 90s version or new version of game! No lagging and you switch mid scene. You can save before choosing what you'll say to NPC too. I've yet to see a smoother PC port. Game is full of witty humour and corny jokes! Even with 90s scenes, this game was way ahead of it's time with graphics. Look up "Maniac Mansion". You'll know what I mean then. David Grossman made a new coding for it, that helped make these games so great for the 80s and 90s! It's called SCUMM.

A great point and click adventure game. Lots of corny pirate jokes and puns. Switching between the old PC graphics and the new artwork is another cool bonus. True to its original nostalgia.
