My Hidden Things

Dark, human story was a surprise. Really enjoyed the puzzles

It's a fairly straightforward puzzler/searcher with some VERY dark stories featuring depression, domestic abuse, job loss, murder, incarceration, serial killers, etc. Do NOT be distracted by the simple line drawings of the cute-ish illustrations, this is NOT a kids' game! That said, it's not terribly difficult, either. A bit frustrating, but usually only due to buggy interactions and some BOGUS mechanics. I don't know how many times I had to back out of a level simply because two puzzle pieces wouldn't stick together or go inside the container you're supposed to fill. And the way things are hidden usually just involves moving an object out of the way, which you will be doing a LOT. With a slow cursor. One. by. one...🙄 All in all, I didn't find this game very fun, most of the stories are depressing and unrelated to each other - and then when a pretty shocking TWIST shows up and things start to get INTERESTING, it ABRUPTLY ends in way that makes NO sense. I can't recommend this. 2.5⭐s.

I wish there were hints available. Not perfect but still a decent chill game that gets your brain working. Requires some patience. I honestly wouldn't recommend this for kids maybe younger than teens.
