Ninja Gaiden / Batman NES homage

First: This game is fun. Is it as polished as some other titles? No, but look at the price. For a budget indy title, this game is a no brainer. It will scratch that 8 bit itch and it is pretty good. The hit box detection is a little sketchy, but I did not have any problems with slippery levels like another reviewer mentioned. Controls seemed tight to me. Good soundtrack, good enemy selection, not too difficult. It's agame you can pick up and play.

    Fun retro game

Reminds me of ninja gaiden but not the same or as flushed out. There are some button delays that can be frustrating and you can get locked in place enter and exit the menus can unlock you . These minor issues become problematic in platform games so i can only give 3 stars if they smooth that out possible 4-5 for me.

    It's fun but...

The platforming and timing gimicks are fun but that's over-shadowed by the giant fact that every level is an ice level... 🤦‍♂️ I was expecting a precision game but instead I got a game with a giant health pool AND a ton of health/rescource pick-ups... and I'm still dying to damage from running into stuff. I mean I was expecting something akin to the messenger but it turned out to be more like cyber shadow on ice. Great game though, seriously. The developer just fumbled on the movement, everything else is top-notch. It just sucks that movement is such a crucial aspect of the game. And yes.... I use the d-pad for all of my platforming games.

Haven't quite mastered the way of the ninja

An action platformer inspired by classics of the genre but unfortunately not quite as good as them. Not a whole lot stood out to me other than maybe a decent retro soundtrack. The visuals and enemy design were ok, along with the gameplay. This game is definitely a lot easier than games from the NES era, can easily be completed in a single sitting in under an hour. For the price if you are looking for a retro style platformer that's easy then its not a bad choice. *Product Received for Free*
