NINJA GAIDEN 4 The Two Masters

After the endless rain, the shadow of the Dark Dragon finally dissipates over Tokyo, bringing clear skies and a moment of peace. But the work of the Hayabusa and Raven ninja clans is never over, and chaos threatens the world once more. A mysterious foe seeks to tear open a doorway to another dimension and transform our world into a living nightmare. With the Divine Dragon Order in shambles and powerless to combat the new flood of fiends, two master ninjas must rise to the challenge. Step into a new chapter of the NINJA GAIDEN 4 saga as Yakumo and Ryu Hayabusa join forces to combat new enemies and save humanity once again. The Two Masters delivers three all-new playable chapters that continue the fight beyond the original campaign (players must complete the original storyline before accessing the new chapters). Featuring unique levels set in a sun-basked Tokyo free of the Dark Dragon, Yakumo and Ryu must face new bosses, fiend enemies, and deadly trials designed to test even the most skilled master ninja. Players can immediately access two new weapons, whether they have completed the campaign or are still on their journey: Yakumo’s “Solitaire” scythe is built for ranged attack and crowd control, while Ryu’s “Jakotsumon” serpent gauntlets deliver rapid strikes and new ways to close distance on enemies. Even more challenges await. Veterans looking for the ultimate test can tackle Abyssal Road, a brutal endurance mode that features successive combat encounters with new mechanics, escalating pressure and rewards that will enhance Yakumo and Ryu’s battle prowess. The stakes are high, and it will take the power of two master ninjas and deft skill to come out of this alive. NOTE: Players must complete the main story campaign on any difficulty level to access the new story content, Abyssal Road mode, and new trials. The two new weapons are available immediately after players complete the tutorial and reach Chapter 1: Bloodsoaked Tokyo.

...why did this release with ZERO "fanfare"?

Literally NEVER SAW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS BEING OUT, until I ACCIDENTALLY noticed it was in the PS Store (on sale too, I think?) like yesterday, and was so confused at first. The ATOMFALL DLC got more exposure than this‼ It's NINJA GAIDEN F🤴 FOUR's FIRST DLC!!! What the heck is happening?! I know it ain't just me, bc no one on YouTube was talking about it either, but maybe I just somehow managed to miss ANY & ALL of its marketing / trailers? I missed This Week on Xbox lol was it in there? Whatever, just bizarre that a game made by Platinum / Team Ninja and like Published by SEGA / Microsoft Game Studios(?) got no attention when it was like one of the biggest upcoming things in last year's various Showcases... S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2's DLC was in the recent PARTNER showcase... sigh, remember when that was a damn EXCLUSIVE?? Anyway, THAT trailer was like 30 seconds long, Idk why they didn't just throw this in there too. Sorta worried about Platinum now, tbh🤦🏻‍♂️ Anyway, I'm reinstalling...

    Intense but short

The DLC offers 3 decently long missions that are relatively difficult on master ninja. A few new enemy types are introduced, but nothing too insane. Would have liked for there to be two more missions, but not an awful amount of content for the price.

Not bad but the final boss is too hard

The last boss has a one hit kill attack during phase 2
