Monsters of classic horror and mythology clash to take back the night! In a hidden underworld ruled by creatures of the night, a new terror has awakened! Omen of Sorrow brings monsters of horror, literature and mythology together for a fighting game experience unlike any other. Inspired by numerous arcade classics but offering its own unique innovations and mature aesthetics, Omen of Sorrow positively bleeds style! Featuring a roster inspired by such icons as Frankenstein’s monster and Egyptian high priest Imhotep, this traditional 4-button fighting game rewards or punishes players based on how aggressive their playstyle is, putting a skill-centric spin on combat while keeping the experience accessible to newcomers. Powered by Unreal Engine 4, Omen of Sorrow’s 2.5D brawling spans a multitude of detailed locations with handcrafted animations and cinematic finishers, all set to a masterful soundtrack by composer Francisco Cerda. As a special addition to this updated release for Xbox One, the previously downloadable bloody countess Erzsébet now joins the main roster, alongside a massive blood dragon at her command. With a dozen vicious combatants at your command, who will you lead to victory, and who will fall to your bloodlust?

    Aggression Is The Answer

Omen looks like it was made by 10 ppl in ps2 era. Stiff animations. But, beneath the surface is a compelling fighter. Feels like a throwback in a good way. The commitment to gothic aesthetics & moralities makes for a satisfying & cohesive experience. Roster/stages look cool, re Caleb/sabrewulf, & lich-looking Arctorious. Good narration. Creepy moving camera. Has style. The Fortune & Fate system rewards aggression. If u block & retreat like a coward, your health won't heal back & u lose access to special moves,--whereas if u man up, n go fwd, u heal yourself & get access to strong specials. This inverts the lame block & punishl dynamics of most fighting games. Omen's core mechanic results in close fights where u stay in the pocket, & momentum shifts can be colossal, but u can still battle back. Idk if online works. Story mode forces u to skip thru text cutscenes again which is annoying. But core gameplay is satisfying & the design choices were right.

    Spamm galor

Nothing but spamming online and offline. After all tht bs the game is fun but slooooooow pace due to regenerations rates of health...... If u dont get spammed to death. Boss in arcade on higher difficulty is next to impossible without a command grab character, just to save yall time

    Monster Mush

This game is fun for a short time. There is some tech and mechanics in this game that are ok. The first concern is the anouncer. If I hear counter one more time im gonna lose my marbles. When I see the roster I just keep thinking KI. The characters are all OK. So far may favorite is Adam. I wanted more, but don't hate it. Unfortunatly I did'nt even know this game was available on xbox until it was on sale therefore the online now is dead. On a side note microsoft needs to promote fighting games more because compared to their competitors they are getting slaughtered. Lets use some of that call of duty money to make another KI. Overall if you are a hard core fighting game fan like me and want to own all the fighting games I'd buy it like I did, on sale.
