Onimusha: Way of the Sword

Facial expressions, combat, bosses all top tier

This is now my favorite Onimusha game. Thanks Capcom!

If you like a challenge its there. If you like japanese culture and dont mind cheesy cliche character tropes you will love this game. Best game I've played in a long time. No other game is hitting the same now.

Finally after over a decade, Maybe more, Onimusha is finally back and its a great reboot. Combat, Story, Characters all shine fantastically. For the first few hours of the game I was worried about enemy behavior and how they basically did nothing and just stood around. As you keep playing you realize its because the game is basically one massive tutorial for the first few chapters. They throw a lot at you at once and let you get comfortable w all the mechanics. Once the game opens up the enemies do become aggressive and can even kill you if not careful to use all the tools you've been given. My one only gripe w the game is that as good as the English voice acting is, It just sounds so wrong in such a British accents. Sometimes Musashi straight up reminds me of Jack Sparrow in the way he talks and carries himself, Sometimes. All in all this is a fantastic game and I'm beyond happy the franchise is back.
